Note:
This work is a mosaic of the Gagaku’s Sho chord patterns that are built by fragmenting pieces of traditional ornamentations and techniques. With the musical characteristics of Traditional Eastern instruments and the musical gestures that they bear, I created a soundscape where the focal point constantly shifts between entirety and fractions – an illusion where Eastern and Western instruments are unified but coexist simultaneously.
