This work was inspired by the interlaced texture of the tree rings, the coagulation of Tree’s breath. Each ring that seems indistinguishable on the macroscopic level tells unique stories if we look close enough. e music is a process of metamorphosis of a single impulse, a breath that repeats throughout the piece. All three movements are a sonic transcription of three different images of tree rings, in which each of them has a unique perspective on these beautiful creatures. rough the exploration of timbre, subtle changes, and micro-tonality, I would like to build up a soundscape where a single sound source and its unlimited amount of form become one. Like a single black ink’s stroke can have a whole spectrum of color within, ranging from
white to gray…
